Anti-social behaviour and damage caused to properties on The Carriage Drive and Woolley Bridge Road, Hadfield, has led to increased patrols by police.
Recent issues in the area have included groups of youths gathering, wheelie bins being tipped over and large rocks being removed from walls and placed in the road.
Overnight between Wednesday, August 28 and Thursday, August 29, some fencing and the garage door of one property were kicked in, causing substantial damage.
PCSO Brian Buller, from Hadfield Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Anti-social behaviour has a huge impact on the lives of people living nearby and that is why we are cracking down on it.
“The area is used as a shortcut by dog walkers and pedestrians and I’d urge anyone who spots people acting anti-socially or sees criminal damage being committed to call us straight away.
“We want to put a stop to this kind of behaviour and together with the help of local residents, we will hopefully achieve that.”
