A MAN has appeared at Chesterfield magistrates’ court charged with ten offences including making indecent photos of children.
Andrew Christopher Preece, 52, of Southdown Avenue, Chesterfield, appeared at court on Monday, April 8, after police received alleged information and seized and examined his computer and claimed to have recovered indecent images.
Preece has been charged with one count of distributing an indecent photograph of a child, eight counts of making an indecent photograph of a child and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image between January, 2009, and December 2012.
Prosecuting solicitor Becky Mahon claimed 144 indecent images were recovered and Preece declined to indicate a plea at this stage of proceedings.
The case was adjourned to Derby Crown Court on August 2 and Preece was granted bail.
