Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £35 costs. Licence also endorsed with eight points. Having failed to give details failed to report the accident to a police station. No separate penalty. Drove a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. No separate penalty.

Ian Stephen Parker, 30, of Ockley Farm, Dyche Lane, Coal Aston, Dronfield. Drove a vehicle when using a hand-held mobile telephone. Fined £50 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £35 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Was the owner of a dog namely Jeeves an American Bulldog which was dangerously out of control in a public place namely Dickens Drive and while out of control injured someone. Committed to prison for six weeks suspended for 12 months.

Catherine Hopkinson, 44, of Torfield Cottages, Green Lane, Darley Dale, Matlock. Stole a drink and beauty products valued at £13.05 belonging to Boots the Chemist Ltd. Stole another drink and more beauty products. Stole packs of exlax, packs of pain killers, packs of Halls Soothers and body lotion valued at £16.70 from Wilkinson Stores. Discharged conditionally for six months. Must pay £13.05 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.

Failed to comply with a suspended sentence order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence for which a suspended sentence was given of using threatening behaviour. Committed to detention in a young offenders’ institution for 15 weeks.

Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for a theft. No action taken on the breach.
