Was the owner of a dog namely Jeeves an American Bulldog which was dangerously out of control in a public place namely Dickens Drive and while out of control injured someone. Community order until October 30, 2014, with a curfew for three months. Must pay £2,000 compensation and £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Dog must be muzzled and on a lead in public.

Failed to comply with a community order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of fraud to obtain a refund intending to cause loss to Home Bargains. Committed to prison for six weeks suspended for 12 months.

Catherine Hopkinson, 44, of Torfield Cottages, Green Lane, Darley Dale, Matlock. Stole a drink and beauty products valued at £13.05 belonging to Boots the Chemist Ltd. Stole another drink and more beauty products. Stole packs of exlax, packs of pain killers, packs of Halls Soothers and body lotion valued at £16.70 from Wilkinson Stores. Discharged conditionally for six months. Must pay £13.05 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.

Jack Cryans, 19, of Cauldron Drive, Holmehall, Chesterfield. Damaged a glass cabinet notice board valued at £150 belonging to St Mary’s and All Saints Church. Failed to surrender to custody. Failed to comply with a suspended sentence order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence for which a suspended sentence was given of using threatening behaviour. Committed to detention in a young offenders’ institution for 15 weeks.
