Motoring

Michael Anthony Lynch, 55, of Pennytown Court, Somercotes, Alfreton. Being the driver of a vehicle owing to the presence of which an accident occurred whereby damage was caused to another vehicle. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £35 costs. Licence also endorsed with eight points. Having failed to give details failed to report the accident to a police station. No separate penalty. Drove a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. No separate penalty.

Ian Stephen Parker, 30, of Ockley Farm, Dyche Lane, Coal Aston, Dronfield. Drove a vehicle when using a hand-held mobile telephone. Fined £50 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £35 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

David tomlinson, 54, of Lee Road, Hady, Chesterfield. Drove a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Fined £35 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £35 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Macauley Stephen Cummins, 18, of Newbold Court, Holmgate Way, Chesterfield. Knowing that a conveyance namely a Vauxhall Astra, had been taken without the consent of the owner allowed yourself to be carried in it. Community order until August 3, 2015, with a thinking skills programme and supervision and 60 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £100 costs.

Stephen kent, 28, of Cedar Close, Eckington. Used a vehicle without insurance. Fined £600 and must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.

Gillian McIvor, 44, of Hazel Grove, Mastin Moor, Chesterfield. Used a vehicle without insurance. Fined £600 and must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence also endorsed with six points.

Ryan Wells, 24, of Upper Croft, Upper Lea, Lea, Matlock. Used a vehicle without insurance. Fined £311 and must pay a £31 victim surcharge and £35 costs and licence also endorsed with six points.

Michael Andrew Brown, 42, of Derby Road, Chesterfield. Exceeded the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £300 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 38 months.

Janet Hopkinson, 52, of Bakewell Road, Matlock. Having been required to provide a specimen of breath for analysis failed without reasonable excuse to do so. Fined £230 and must pay a £23 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

Patrick Kenneth Davison, 55, of Wildhay Brook, Hilton. Speeding. Fined £130 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge. Licence also endorsed with three points.

Shane McKay, 33, of Woodland Drive, Anston. Drove a vehicle while not wearing a seat belt. Fined £80 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £35 costs.

James Kemp, 28, of Ridgeway, Langwith Junction. Drove a vehicle while using a hend-held mobile telephone. Fined £350 and must pay a £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence also endorsed with three points.

Joshua Gary Hunt, 22, of Church Street, Creswell. Used a vehicle without insurance. Fined £345 and must pay a £35 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for six months.

Assault

Jayne Caroline Bannister, 48, of Victoria Street, Brimington, Chesterfield. Three counts of assault. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months. Must pay £1,000 compensation.

Other

Cary Pashley, 26, of Dickens Drive, Holmewood, Chesterfield. Was the owner of a dog namely Jeeves an American Bulldog which was dangerously out of control in a public place namely Dickens Drive and while out of control injured someone. Community order until October 30, 2014, with a curfew for three months. Must pay £2,000 compensation and £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Dog must be muzzled and on a lead in public.

Sandy Kes Hughes, 35, of Pencroft Drive, Clay Cross, Chesterfield. Used threatening behaviour. Fined £74 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Samuel Cox, 26, of Creswell Road, Clowne, Drunk and disorderly in public. Fined £233 and must pay a £23 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Dawn Havenhand, 49, of Poolsbrook Crescent, Poolsbrook, Chesterfield. Dropped a cigarette and left it in a public place. Fined £200 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £120 costs.

Lewin Anthony Lawton, 49, of Oakamoor Close, Chesterfield. Failed to remove dog’s faeces. Fined £200 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £120 costs.

Theft

Carl Christopher Pepper, 31, of Leabrook Road, Somercotes. Stole lamb joints valued at £30 belonging to Co-op Stores. Stole food items valued at £9 belonging to Co-op Stores. Failed to comply with a community order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of fraud to obtain a refund intending to cause loss to Home Bargains. Committed to prison for six weeks suspended for 12 months.

Catherine Hopkinson, 44, of Torfield Cottages, Green Lane, Darley Dale, Matlock. Stole a drink and beauty products valued at £13.05 belonging to Boots the Chemist Ltd. Stole another drink and more beauty products. Stole packs of exlax, packs of pain killers, packs of Halls Soothers and body lotion valued at £16.70 from Wilkinson Stores. Discharged conditionally for six months. Must pay £13.05 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.

Jamie Lee Day, 23, of Ayncourt, North Wingfield, Chesterfield. Stole three jars of coffee valued at £15 belonging to the Co-operative. Assault. Failed to surrender to custody. Committed to prison for 20 weeks suspended for 18 months.

Damage

Jamyz Anthony Bell, 21, of Chiltern Court, Wenlock Close, Loundsley Green, Chesterfield. Damaged a door valued at £75. Community order until February, 2016, with a drug rehabilitation requirement, thinking skills programme, supervision and 60 hours of unpaid work. Must pay £75 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Daniel James McMahon, 30, of Heathcote Drive, Hasland, Chesterfield. Damaged a front door. Community order until February, 2016, with alcohol treatment and supervision. Must pay £315 compensation.

Jack Cryans, 19, of Cauldron Drive, Holmehall, Chesterfield. Damaged a glass cabinet notice board valued at £150 belonging to St Mary’s and All Saints Church. Failed to surrender to custody. Failed to comply with a suspended sentence order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence for which a suspended sentence was given of using threatening behaviour. Committed to detention in a young offenders’ institution for 15 weeks.

Drugs

Toni Leanne Smith, 25, of Poolsbrook Hotel, Poolsbrook, Chesterfield. Possession of 0.7grammes of diamorphine, a controlled class A drug. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for a theft. No action taken on the breach.

Christopher William Burton, 23, of Riber View Close, Tansley, Matlock. Possession of 0.6grammes of Methylmethcathinone. Possession of 0.7grammes of cannabis. Was concerned in the supplying of cannabis. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. No adjudication. Dealt with for original offence of possessing cannabis. Committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months.
