Staff at a Cromford store have been left ‘shaken’ following an armed raid last night.

A large quantity of cash was stolen in the robbery at the Post Office Cottage at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, December 3.

A police spokesman said: “Offenders threatened the staff and made off with a large quantity of cash. The staff were unhurt although shook up as a result.”

Derbyshire police are appealing for anyone who was in the Cromford area last night at the time of the robbery and who saw anything suspicious to come forward.

Police are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw any car being driven erratically in the area following the raid.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Derbyshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
