iPad with sentimental pictures stolen from Wirksworth home

Police are appealing for witnesses after sentimental pictures were stolen from a house in Wirksworth.

Sometime between 7pm on Thursday, September 25 and 6.15pm on Friday, September 26, burglars broke into a house on Nursery Croft through an insecure door. Cash and an iPad were stolen.

DC Tim Lambert, of Matlock CID, said: “The iPad contained a number of sentimental pictures of the homeowner’s deceased wife. We would urge anyone buying a second-hand iPad to check the images.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Matlock CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
