An illegal rave in a disused quarry has been closed down by police.
Officers were called to break up the rave at Upper Padley, in Grindleford on Saturday after concerned residents reported a noise nuisance.
A spokesman for the police thanked residents for their cooperation and warned organisers of illegal raves that they would not be tolerated.
He added: “We have the power to seize sound equipment.
“The impact on the local community can not be under estimated.”
