A PENSIONER was targeted by conmen who posed as workers from the waterboard before stealing her possessions.
The 78-year-old woman who lives on Glenthorne Close, Chesterfield, opened her door to two men who told her they were carrying out work.
One of them stayed with the woman, as the other went around the rest of the house and stole jewellery, police said.
The first man is described as around 35 years old, over 6ft, wearing a black woolly hat, a black jacket and black trousers.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crime, which happened at around 4.45pm on Tuesday, December 7.
