A DALES driver lost his job after he fradulently altered his motor insurance certificate, a court heard. Josh Greatorex started a policy on May 29 - the day after a police spot-check on the A6 at Matlock - and scanned the insurance certificate using software to alter the start date. Becky Mahon, prosecuting, said Greatorex had penalty points on his licence for driving without insurance which he had not declared to the insurers. Greatorex (20) of Painters Way, Two Dales, admitted driving without insurance, fraudulently altering an insurance certificate and witholding information to obtain insurance.
The case was sent to Derby Crown Court for sentencing.
Greatorex said: “ I have already been punished as I lost my job as a result of this.”
