Doncaster woman mugged in town centre

Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in Doncaster town centre, which is reported to have occurred in the early hours of Sunday, April 13.

A 26-year-old woman withdrew cash from a machine in Printing Office Street at around 4am that morning. She reported being pushed in the back, on the same street, before her cash was stolen by an unknown man.

The suspect is described as being slim, between 5ft 7ins and 6ft tall and wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap with a light-coloured motif on the front.

He was said to have been wearing blue jeans and a “distinctive” sports-style waist-length jacket with light-coloured arms and a dark body.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 236 of April 13 2014.
