Dodgy Derbyshire estate agent is expected to learn her fate

An estate agent who pleaded guilty to three charges of engaging in unfair commercial practices is due to be sentenced this morning.

Helen Gregory, 55, of Valley Road, Spital, Chesterfield, will appear before a judge at Derby Crown Court to learn her fate.

Gregory was due to be sentenced in Derby Crown Court in March but the case was adjourned until today following a last-minute change of solicitors.

Gregory is in the process of trying to pay back £67,000 of money taken from tenants in deposits. The money wa not paid into the Deposit Protection Service – a legal requirement under the Housing Act 2004.
