Derbyshire homeowners wake up to find their cars stolen

Two homeowners woke up on Wednesday morning to find their cars had been stolen by burglars.

A man living on Limekiln Way, Barlborough, woke up at about 7am and found his white BMW had gone.

Another homeowner on Rectory Road, Duckmanton, awoke at 4.30am to discover their silver Ford Focus had been stolen.

A Derbyshire police spokesman said: "It looks like offenders broke into the homes, stole the car keys then made off with the vehicles.

"We're linking these two crimes.

"If you have a garage, make sure your car is parked in there."
