Police in Chesterfield have charged six men with public order offences following a fight in the town centre.
The men were all arrested by police after they were alerted by CCTV operators to a disturbance outside Association Bar on Corporation Street at around 1.40am on May 10.
All six men, who are aged between 17 and 28, have been charged with Section 4 Public Order offences.
Community Safety Inspector Russ Dakin said: “We are committed to making sure Chesterfield is a safe place for people to enjoy a night out and we will always take a zero tolerance approach to violence or disorder.
“Officers have the power to impose strict conditions on anyone arrested or charged with disorder offences, which includes banning people from licensed premises in the town.”
Insp Dakin added: “It’s important that people remember that if they want to come and enjoy the nightlife then they need to do so responsibly, and that they think about the consequences of their behaviour.”
Daniel Stone, 28, of Lime Tree Road, Matlock, Aden Barker, 23, of Raven Avenue, Tibshelf, Benjamin Green, 23, of Peveril Road, Tibshelf, Ashley Dewey, 21, of West View, Tibshelf, Brett Herbert, 18, of Carlyle Road, Stonebroom, and a 17-year-old, from Tibshelf, are due to appear before magistrates in Chesterfield on Wednesday, June 10.
They have all been given bail conditions not to enter into any of the town centre bars.
