Officers investigating a number of incidents reported in the Walton area of Chesterfield in July have released images of two people they would like to trace.

The images, taken on separate occasions from CCTV and on a mobile phone, are of two men seen in the area around the time of reports of someone acting suspiciously around vehicles, and a burglary.

Community Safety Inspector Russell Dakin said: “It is not known if the men are connected with each other or the incidents but we would really like to speak to them as it is possible they may be able to help with our enquiries.

“We’re very grateful for the help we’ve received from the local community as part of the investigation so far.”

During July police received reports of two burglaries at homes and seven vehicles broken into in the Walton area.

Insp Dakin added: “Please take the time to make sure your homes and vehicles are secure and report anything you think may be suspicious to officers as soon as possible.”

Anyone with information about the men in the images should contact Derbyshire police on 101.
