Theft

David James Smith, 29, of Houfton Road, Bolsover. Stole three bottles of whisky valued at £57. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for thefts and failing to surrender. Dealt with for the original offences of stealing bottles of spirits and failing to surrender to custody. Commission of a further offence while subject to a suspended sentence. Dealt with for the original offences of assaulting two police constables and damaging a police vehicle. Committed to prison for ten weeks.

Angela Johal, 43, of Hunloke Avenue, Chesterfield. Stole meat and coffee valued at £74.32. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence which was subject to a conditional discharge of stealing Hugo Boss fragrance valued at £30. Community order until December 16, 2015, with drug rehabilitation and a curfew and to be electronically monitored. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £86 costs.

Darren Stephen Ansell, 35, of John Street, Brampton, Chesterfield. Two counts of stealing computer games belonging to Sainsburys. Community order until April 27, 2015, with a curfew with electronic monitoring. Must pay £160 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge.

Daniel Lee Parkes, 38, of No Fixed Address. Two counts of being drunk and disorderly in public. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay a £15 victim surcharge.

Richard Beardsmore, 53, of Cavendish Street, Chesterfield. Committed fraud by dishonestly making a false representation, namely cashed a stolen cheque, intending to make a gain of £364. Fined £110 and must pay £400 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge and £320 costs.

David Smitheman, 35, of Somerset Drive, Brimington, Chesterfield. Committed fraud by dishonestly making a false representation, namely attempted to cash a stolen cheque, intending to make a gain of £500. Commission of a further offence during a suspended sentence. Dealt with for the original offences subject to the suspended sentence of stealing a Giorgio Armani gift set, stealing two bottles of aftershave, stealing a Philips shaver, using threatening behaviour and stealing two Geo tech Bluetooth headsets. Also stole perfume valued at £79. Given a 25 week custodial sentence.

Leon Simon Morris, 22, of St Augustine’s Road, Chesterfield. Damaged a vehicle wing mirror valued at £100. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay £100 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Daniel Richard Scarle, 25, of Blackstone Close, Somercotes. Damaged a cedar wood fence panel. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay £714 compensation.

Motoring

Barry Caunt, 57, of Bamford Avenue, North Wingfield. Kept on a public road a vehicle which was unlicensed. Fined £110 and ordered to pay vehicle excise back duty of £249.17 and £90 costs.

Carl Heath, 22, of Park Street, Chesterfield. Drove a vehicle while not wearing a seat belt. No separate penalty. Used a vehicle without insurance. Fined £300 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.
