A motorist has been banned from driving for 40 months and ordered to pay £364 in fines and costs.
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on Wednesday, February 4, how Michael Blake, 47, of Jawbones Hill, Chesterfield, was stopped by police on Derby Road, Chesterfield.
Angela Hadfield, prosecuting, said police were carrying out drink-drive patrols at the time of the offence on January 12.
She also told the court Blake has a previous conviction for drink-driving.
Blake pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit after failing a test.
Defence solicitor Moxon Smith said Blake is very sorry and he will face inconveniences without the use of his car for work.
