Gareth Wakefield, 33, of West Avenue, Creswell. Possession of one gramme of cannabis, a controlled class B drug. Had without good reason a bladed article in public, namely a lock knife. Failed to surrender to custody. Committed to prison for 34 weeks.

John David Martin Green, 57, of Rochester Way, North Wingfield, Chesterfield. Drunk and disorderly behaviour in public. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Commission of a further offence during a suspended sentence for offences of theft and possessing an offensive weapon. Eight weeks’ imprisonment suspended for 12 months.

James Anthony Whitmore, 54, C/O Hardwick Court, Staveley. Having entered Swinton Insurance as a trespasser stole a roller blind. Fined £73 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge.

Theft

Natasha JaNE Thorley, 27, of Derby Road, Chesterfield. Stole food from a Co-op store. Stole a beach towel from Primark and stole clothing from Primark. Community order until November 23, 2015, with female mentoring and a drug rehabilitation requirement, and a thinking skills programme and supervision. Must pay £19.40 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Shane Anthony Facer, 32, of Arundel Close, Chesterfield. Stole a television. Fined £110 and must pay £100 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Nathan Lee Wigfield, 38, of Ashgate Road, Chesterfield. Stole squash and coffee belonging to the Co-op. Fined £110 and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £45 costs. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months imposed for theft and attempted theft. No action taken.

Jason Joseph Laurie, 35, of Hurst Rise, Matlock. Stole cash valued at £530. Committed to prison for 14 weeks suspended for 12 months. Must pay £530 compensation, an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Ricky Wood, 27, of Cauldon Drive, Chesterfield. Stole a box of fragrance valued at £49.99 belonging to TK Maxx. Commission of a further offence while subject to a 12 month conditional discharge for an offence of theft. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of stealing meat valued at £80. Committed to prison for six weeks suspended for 12 months with a drug rehabilitation.

James Leslie Herberts, 35, of No Fixed Abode. Stole a milkshake, breakfast cereal, two packs of biscuits and milk. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months for theft and possessing a class B drug. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of stealing a charity box containing cash belonging to Ashgate Hospice. Dealt with for an original offence of possessing Methylmethcathinone, a controlled drug of class B. Committed to prison for 14 days.
