Protecting frontline services is the top priority for Calderdale Council.

POLICE are hunting burglars who raided a home and stole jewellery, laptops and a Jaguar XS car.

The offenders are thought to have struck at the property on Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, between Sunday, February 17, and Wednesday, February 20.

A police spokesman said: “The owners returned home from a holiday on Saturday, February 23, to discover their home had been burgled.

“Following enquiries, a neighbour said they had spotted the car was missing on Wednesday afternoon, February 20.”

The offenders stole an Apple laptop, a Dell laptop, a camera, jewellery and the Jaguar XS car keys after breaking in through a back door.

Witnesses are urged to call Derbyshire Constabulary on 101 or Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
