Chesterfield burglar jailed

A MAN has been jailed after admitting burglary and asking for four other offences to be taken into consideration.

Dean Vine, 38, broke into a house on Lockoford Lane, Chesterfield on March 5, 2011 and stole jewellery and electrical items.

He was arrested a few days later in relation to another offence. Officers searched his house and found the missing jewellery and his DNA on a jewellery box.

Vine, of Meadow Court, New Whittington pleaded guilty to burglary and asked the judge to take four similar offences into consideration.

He was jailed for 16 months following a hearing at Derby Crown Court on Friday, October 14.
