A school which lost a cardboard copper - that warned parents about problem parking - are celebrating getting two new ones.
The children at Palterton Primary School were left devastated after the previous policeman – Graham, who they had bought themselves – was stolen last month.
But now, thanks to the generosity of a local firm, the school has been given two replacement two-dimensional bobbies – Simon and Ian.
Having read the article in the Derbyshire Times, Ian and Claire Dey, of Ultimate Signs in Hasland, decided to donate the school a replacement.
Palteron’s pupils are over the moon to have the two new officers in place and would like to thank the firm for ‘proving that there are still some kind and genuine people out there’.
