Arrest following drugs warrant in Clay Cross

A MAN has been arrested after officers raided his home and found suspected cocaine and cannabis.

Officers from the Clay Cross Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) and reactive officers carried out a warrant at the house on Ashton Road on Friday, July 22.

They found five bags containing suspected cocaine and nine bags filled with suspected cannabis.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply. He has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

PC Adam Bryan of the Clay Cross SNT said: “We take reports of drug use very seriously and we will not tolerate it in our communities.

“We encourage residents to contact us with information about any suspicious activity or drug related matters.”
