Crime-busting choir in Holbrook

Police officers presented members of a school choir with £100 - but only after the children had successfully completed a crime quiz.

The Derbyshire Constabulary Male Choir shared the stage with children from Holbrook Primary School during a concert in St Michael’s Church in the village.

During a brief interlude from singing the children were given five questions on crime prevention which they had to answer correctly to win their prize.

And the learning didn’t stop there - PC Kirsty Bunn was also on hand to judge entries to the children’s poster competition which was aimed at raising awareness of Crimestoppers. Pictured: choir members Len Briddon and John Newsham with teacher Jo Freebury and members of the school choir.
