Crews rescue casualty from car in Bolsover

Firefighters helped to release a person trapped in a vehicle following an accident this morning (Tuesday, June 3).

The crews from Bolsover and Shirebrook attended the road traffic collision involving a Ford Transit van on Rylah Hill, in Palterton, Bolsover, at 6.23am.

The van had been pulling a mini digger behind it when the driver had lost control and it had toppled over.

On arrival they found the driver of the vehicle trapped and used cutting equipment to release him.

He was concussed and was taken to Nottingham Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment.

Police were in attendance and the stop message was received by 7.24am.
