A top Derbyshire tourist attraction which was forced to close earlier this week after a woman’s body was found has reopened.
Police closed Cresswell Crags in order to carry out enquiries after the 54-year-old’s body was discovered on Tuesday.
Officers apologised for causing any inconvenience to tourists and local residents but a Creswell Crags spokesman has confirmed the site will reopen to the public tomorrow.
The woman’s body was found in the river at the crags just before 6.30pm.
She is believed to be from Nottinghamshire but a formal identification has not yet been carried out.
A post mortem examination will be carried out to determine how she died.
A police spokesman said: “Officers are keeping an open mind about the circumstances around her death.”
Anyone who was at Creswell Crags yesterday should contact the police on 101.
