COPS are cracking down on yobs throwing eggs at homes in a Derbyshire village.
Officers will step up patrols around Boughton Lane and a footpath known as ‘The Stumps’, in Clowne, after receiving four reports about the “nuisance behaviour” in just over two weeks.
Clowne Safer Neighbourhood Team is to visit local residents, urging them to be vigilant and report incidents.
In addition, police will call on shop keepers to refrain from selling eggs to youngsters who could go on to cause trouble.
Police Community Support Officer Suzanne Fox said: “This nuisance behaviour is unacceptable and we will be working, alongside the residents and other agencies, to put a stop to it – and catch those involved.”
