GENEROUS staff at Shorts Accountants in Chesterfield are limbering up in preparation for the Ashgate Hospice It’s a Knockout challenge.

The event takes place on Sunday July 8 and hopes to raise thousands of pounds towards running costs at the hospice, on Ashgate Road, Chesterfield.

Shorts workers will be putting aside their laptops and management accounts as the team including trainees and qualified accountants will be competing against other local teams in Holmebrook Valley Park in what promises to be a fun packed day.

Shorts practice manager Christine Burgon said: “We are very much looking forward to taking part in this event.

“Not only does it promise to be a lot of fun, but we hope to raise as much money as possible for Ashgate Hospice.

“We recently held a successful charity golf day for the hospice and as a Chesterfield based firm we recognise what a great job their staff do and it’s wonderful to be able to support them.”

Shorts’ competitors include Paul Snaith, Tom Winter, Claire Seedhouse, Laura O’Doherty, Matt Bradford, Anita Purslove, Greg Taylor, Michael Crocker, Ben Frost with a support team of colleagues.
