Your School: In the classroom with Brimington Junior School

Pupils prove they can all go further

At Brimington Junior School the whole team are committed to ensuring that every child fulfils their potential.

Our school motto ‘Go Further’ underpins all our work and underlines our desire to succeed in all we do.

Our modern and spacious building is at the heart of the community. The excellent facilities enable us to provide a diverse and exciting curriculum which meets the needs of all our learners. We even have our very own chicken coop! We work closely with families and other agencies to provide the best guidance and support for our children.

This year has been a very busy one for the children of Brimington. We got through to the county finals at netball, we raised lots of money for charity, we took part in a colourful and noisy World Cup parade with Brimington Manor Infants School and we performed our first open air Christmas concert for an audience of over 500 people!

Most excitingly of all we won the Diana Award for our Anti-bullying work! One of our pupils, Daniel Humphreys, has been selected from 100 applicants to be a National Anti-Bullying Ambassador Youth Board Member.

Daniel, ten, said: “I am looking forward to representing young peoples’ views about bullying and sharing best practice. By being a member, I feel I will definitely make a difference to the lives of other young people who have experienced bullying or have been a bully.”
