A PUBLIC exhibition is being held for members of the public to come and discuss the preliminary redevelopment proposals for Bolsover District Council’s Sherwood Lodge headquarters.

The council, which aims to move to Chesterfield College’s Clowne Campus, chose Morrisons stores as the preferred developer to take over its offices in Bolsover.

A first public exhibition is due to take place on Wednesday, November 2, between 10.30am and 7pm, at Sherwood Lodge, Bolsover.

The exhibition will include basic information about the proposals at this stage and will also include what the council is planning to do regarding its future council offices.

The proposed scheme envisages a medium-sized store with petrol filling station and associated car parking together with the provision of new council office accommodation and dedicated car parking.

It could include a council contact centre, meeting and conference facilities and a police station.

More detailed plans that will be the subject of a second public consultation in the New Year are currently being developed.
