Concern over suspicious van collecting charity bags in the Alfreton area

Police are urging residents to be alert to a suspicious van which may have been fraudulently collecting charity bags in the Alfreton area.

Officers have received reports of a white van which has been picking up air ambulance charity bags containing clothing and other belongings.

PC Mark Scott of the Alfreton Town Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “It is not known whether or not this van has any connection to the official charity, and people are concerned that the items they are donating are not going where they intended them to.
