RECORD crowds flocked to a classic car and motobike show, which was held to raise money for charity.
The annual event, held by the Chesterfield Rotary club at Renishaw Hall, attracted thousands of visitors and 1,200 cars and bikes.
Stuart Bradley, a rotarian who organised the event, said: “It was a fantastic day. It is really up there now as one of the country’s major car shows.”
Colin Payne of Mansfield Woodhouse won the best car category with his 1963 Triumph TR4, and the best bike went to David Stevens from Retford and his 1997 Boom Trike at the event on June 8.
The day raised over £6000 for Ashgate Hospice, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Weston Park cancer charity.
