The Bishop of Derby’s harvest appeal for Rwandan widows has been boosted by more than £300 thanks to the generosity of the congregation at All Saints Church in Ashover.

The Bishop of Derby’s harvest appeal for Rwandan widows has been boosted by more than £300 thanks to the generosity of the congregation at All Saints Church in Ashover.

The cash was raised from a Sunday morning offering and sale of produce after the annual harvest festival.

The Bishop’s appeal was of special interest to the Ashover congregation since church member Claire Bonsall and her brother, Mark, flew out to Rwanda, one of the poorest countries in the world, the day before the harvest service to help a Wirksworth-based charity with various aid projects.
