THOUSANDS of lights and a six-foot Santa are just a few of the attractions at one family’s illuminated home this Christmas.

The Skinners of North View Street, Carr Vale, have been decorating their home in festive lights for the past ten years, raising money for charity as they go.

This year, the family are supporting Sands - Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society, through donations made by visitors to their amazing light show.

“We have some lights from Blackpool that have to stay in our hallway all year round because they are so big,” said Susan Skinner.

With her partner John and son Wayne, Susan starts putting the lights up as early as October.

Visitors can see the lights from 4.15pm to 9.30pm each day.
