Chris Cleave coming to library

Chris Cleave is coming to Chesterfield Library to talk about his new book ‘Gold’ on Friday June 8h at 7.30pm.

His debut novel ‘Incendiary’ won a 2006 Somerset Maugham Award and was short listed for the 2006 Commonwealth Writers Prize. His second novel, ‘The Other Hand’ is a Sunday Times bestseller and was short listed for the Costa Novel Awards.

Chris has had a chequered career including spells as a barman, long-distance sailor and teacher of marine navigation, internet pioneer and journalist.
