Chiefs release final details on club’s civic reception

COUNCIL chiefs have released the final details of next week’s civic reception for victorious Chesterfield FC.

Cllrs Peter Barr, mayor of Chesterfield, and John Burrows, leader of Chesterfield Borough Council, will welcome the League Two champions to the town hall at 6.30pm on Tuesday, July 12.

Club management and players will arrive at the town hall after an open top bus tour from the B2Net Stadium.

The bus leaves the stadium at 6pm and will travel along Sheffield Road up to the town centre, go round the Donut car park and enter Rose Hill via Elder Way and Knifesmithgate.

There will be a balcony appearance by players and management with the npower League Two Championship Trophy and the Youth Alliance League Trophy.

Members of the public are invited to join in the celebrations along the route and at the front of the town hall.

Cllr Peter Barr said: “We’re looking forward to a great event next week.”

There will be no vehicle access to Rose Hill from 5.30pm to 7.30pm and there will be parking restrictions around the town hall throughout the day.
