CHESTERFIELD: Scarsdale Rotary Club’s £2000 donation to Chesterfield Diabetes UK

Senior vice-president Andrew Matthews, chaired the weekly meeting of The Rotary Club of Chesterfield Scarsdale, held at Proact Stadium with 37 members present.

He welcomed speakers, past president David Oldale from Rotary Club of Dronfield and Alan Kirk representing Chesterfield Diabetes UK Local Volunteer Group.

Andrew advised the club that nine members had attended the chartercelebrations of the Rotary Club of Warsop, Shirebrook and District.

Rtn Keith Argent advised the club that he is to move to Sussex and the club wished him success on his move.

Past president George Ling, held the monthly foundation draw and winners were: first and runner-up Clive Robbins and third David Hays.

The speakers were introduced and thanked the club for its donation of £2000 to Chesterfield Diabetes UK. They advised club members that the aim of the group is to encourage and educate people with Diabetes and general public to understand and accept the condition. The vote of thanks was given by Rtn David Cromwell.
