The sunny 4.5 mile walk, started and ended at the hospice with a walk around Linacre Reservoir in September and included a dog agility course and each dog received a goody bag which was sponsored by Dunston Lodge.

The £4,200 of pledges could pay for 55 patients to receive a visit from Ashgate’s Hospice at Home team.

Event organiser Charlotte Gratton said: “It was a wonderful event and we’re so glad that so many people wanted to get their dogs involved. One lady even entered with all nine of her dogs.”
