CHESTERFIELD: RSPB branch lines up a busy programme of events

The RSPB Chesterfield group indoor meeting featured talk on “birding in Southern Israel” which was given by Andy Shooter. The area supports a large population of native bird, with more than 500 species there.

Several members went on a morning walk over Froggatt Edge. There will be an evening visit to Clumber Park to see nightjars and woodcock, on Friday, June 21, starting at 7.30pm.

The next indoor meeting at Winding Wheel is on Monday, June 17, at 7.15pm. The speaker will be Steve Lovell whose illustrated lecture is “British Birds of Prey (past and present).

The A.G.M will be held on Monday, June 24, in the Winding Wheel at 7.15pm. This will include an illustrated talk by Matthew Capper, team quiz and light refreshments. This meeting will be free of charge.
