A Chesterfield pooch owner proved every dog does have its day after scooping a top prize at Crufts.
Lucy Mottram returned to the town with a rosette in tow after she picked up a Best of Breed title with her four-year-old Polish Lowland Sheepdog, Wishes.
Ms Mottram, 37, hailed the Crufts experience as a unique one.
“It feels absolutely amazing. This is the first time we have won with Wishes and it is very special,” the Sydney Street resident said.
“We have come to Crufts on many occasions – it is a fantastic event and it honestly is the best dog show in the world.
“It is always a privilege to be here, to compete and enjoy the atmosphere.
“Now that we have won Best of Breed, it is just brilliant.”
