The Chesterfield-based North Derbyshire Motor Club held the first of the club’s off-road driving days.
Held at Brimington, the club used a car supplied by Woodleigh Motors of Grassmoor.
The first event was a skill-driving test, which was for the new Charles Ellis Blanksby Cup, and was won by Matt Tomlinson with a time of 125.2 seconds, with Angela Parkin second (143.49) and Neil Bennett third (152.88).
This was followed by a speed-driving event for the Deane Cup, which was won by Neil Bennett (67.78), with Ashley Turner runner-up (70.75) and Norman Buck third (70.81).
On the social side of club activities, a dominoes 5s and 3s tournament has been held, the singles event won by John Gillibrand who beat Kate Gillibrand in the final, with Mick Clark and Richard Staniforth winning the doubles, beating Kate and John Gillibrand in the final.
