CHESTERFIELD: Nightingale Probus members take trip down memory lane

President, Chris Smith, welcomed 40 members of Chesterfield Nightingale Probus to the new venue at the Olde House.

The members of the quiz team were congratulated for giving a most creditable performance at the inter-Probus quiz.

Audrey Crossley, who has organised the bowls for may years, announced there will be no team for this years Inter-bowls competition. Indoor bowls will be available at Queens Park Leisure centre.

Scrabble will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at 2pm, at the home of Gwnda Burrows.

Following the business, a raffle was held. The president then introduced Mr Keith Blood, who gave anillustrated talk on “The Victorian Schoolroom”, bringing back many memories for members. A vote of thanks was given by Pat Wheatley.
