Chesterfield is riding high on the retail front - as a national report reveals the town is third best in the UK for shop vacancy rates.
The data also shows the town is bucking the trend with just 8.7 per cent of shops empty, compared to a national average of 14.5 per cent.
Cllr John Burrows, leader of Chesterfield Borough Council, said: “I’m thrilled the research shows the town is one of the top retail locations in the UK.
“It’s an A-star for Chesterfield businesses.”
