A brave woman has agreed to have a sponsored headshave to support the Derbyshire Times’ 25in25 Ashgate Hospice Appeal and to help an under-privileged school in Gambia.

Emma Spendlow, of NHS Steps2change therapy service, on Spire Walk, Chesterfield, will be getting the chop from 2pm, on Saturday, September 7, at the Victoria Club, on Sheffield Road, at Whittington Moor, Chesterfield.

She said: “I’m looking to having all my hair shaved off and hope to raise plenty of money for these two very worthy causes.”

Anyone wishing to sponsor Emma is urged to text her with details on 07949 057623 or can call Steps2change on 0303 123 4000 or visit the office on Spire Walk.

Emma works for Steps2change which is an NHS service providing free talking therapies for people with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety.
