Police are appealing for witnesses after a 15-year-old girl was seriously injured in a road traffic collision.

The collision happened on Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield, near the Morrisons store about 10.15pm, on Saturday, September 21.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesman said the local girl was a pedestrian and was injured after she was involved in a collision with a Seat Leon car driven by a woman aged in her 70s.

The injured girl was taken to Sheffield Children’s Hospital where her condition, according to police, last night, Sunday, September 22, was described as poorly but stable.
