CHESTERFIELD: Full steam ahead for Queen’s Park visitors

Queen’s Park’s miniature railway begins offering rides for another year.

Weather permitting, the popular attraction will be running daily until Sunday, April 14 for the Easter Holidays.

After then it will run every weekend, weather permitting, until Sunday 29 September and everyday during school holidays, from Saturday 25 May until Sunday 2 June and from Saturday 20 July until Sunday 29 September.

Individual (blue) tickets cost £1.60 per passenger, with a family (brown) ticket, two adults and two children, costing £4.

Councillor Chris Ludlow, Chesterfield Borough Council’s executive member for environment, said: “Queen’s Park is one of Chesterfield’s most popular attractions and the miniature railway is always popular with children of all ages.”

Other facilities on offer in Queens Park include: a café and play area for children.
