Franke Washroom Systems is well known in the local area for its support of local charities like Ashgate Hospice and longstanding encouragement and investment in young people via in house training and sport sponsorship. Following recent announcements of support for local youth sport, the company continues with is pledge to help the community with donations to two more charities.
Franke Washroom Systems, aka Franke Sissons, has been based in or near its current site in Chesterfield for over 200 years. The company headed by managing director Andy Dukelow who has been with the company for almost 30 years. Alongside supporting young people directly, Franke Washroom Systems announced a donation to Chesterfield’s Cancer Drop-In-Centre; Nenna Kind to be put towards a new vehicle. Fairplay, which supports children and young people with disabilities in Chesterfield has also received a grant towards its new garden project.
Alongside charity support Franke Washroom Systems operates a progressive and committed apprenticeship programme with young people being paid to train on the job in many of its manufacturing, sales and technical departments.
Managing Director, Andy Dukelow, is actively involved with young people chairing a local PTA and avidly supports and mentors young people through quality apprenticeships - a respected training and employment route. Andy, who joined the company as an apprentice himself, has steered the business, which produces specialist washroom and catering products through two recessions, sees encouraging youth development through training and supporting local charities and youth sport as a key components of Franke Washrooms Systems’ corporate obligations.
