CHESTERFIELD: Film-makers Doreen and Bob Williamson win memorial honour

Chesterfield Film Makers held the annual Audio Visual and One Minute Competition at their regular Tuesday meeting.

There were seven entries for the A/V, and the winner was Doreen Williamson with her ‘Snippets of North Yorkshire’ pictures, set to a jolly tune. Other entries were: Trevor Boyce, ‘France in 2006’; Doreen with ‘Haddon Hall’; Colin Guest, ‘Wrest Park’; Elin Smith had two entries ‘Billy Holiday’ and ‘Winter and Spring in Norway’ and John Fox’s ‘Workshop’.

There was a draw for the winner of the one minute films: David Oldale and Malcolm Calow. Other short films were made by John Fox, Bob Williamson, Keith Slaughter and Colin Guest.

In memory of his wife Malcolm Calow donated an engraved silver tray to be presented yearly for the best narrative structure in various competitions during the year. It was won by Doreen and Bob Williamson for their film ‘Endeavour’.
