SPIREITES’ fans who have bought tickets for Chesterfield FC’s last home match of the season against Gillingham are being asked to check them because they may need to be exchanged after a mix up with allocated places for visiting fans.

The club explained anyone issued with tickets for East Stand seats 57-72 are requested to return them to the ticket office because these are away fans’ allocated places and were incorrectly issued and need to be replaced for places in the home fans’ areas.

Hundreds of Blues’ fans had queued round their B2net Stadium home ground, on Sheffield Road, Whittington Moor, on Monday, when tickets first went on sale.

Those with ticket stubs from the last game are being sold tickets during today, April 19, and general ticket sales are due to continue tomorrow, April 20.

The Blues play Oxford United, on April 23, and Torquay United, on April 29, before the Gillingham game, on Saturday, May 7. Chesterfield FC need one point to win promotion to League One and hope to clinch the League Two Champions title.
