Chesterfield market has a Swinging Sixties vibe about it today (Thursday) with the sights and sounds of the flower power generation.
The town is hosting a vintage market until 4pm to coincide with the launch of the first Community Arts Festival which is running for five days.
Entertainers include musician Bill Brookman who is geared up in Sixties fancy dress.
Tony Stacey’s Leyland PD2 double-decker proved a big attraction in the market place this morning. The bus was new to Chesterfield in 1959 and ran its first journey on New Year’s Day 1960, travelling from Beetwell Street to Holymoorside.
