These adorable eight-week-old puppies were found dumped under a bush, sparking a search for their owner by the national RSPCA.

The charity is appealing for information after the Staffordshire bull terrier type dogs were found shivering on the Five Pits Trail, Holmewood, Chesterfield last Saturday.

It is thought these pups were originally stolen as they appear to been minimally trained, and now the RSPCA is trying to track down their original owner – and also

appeal to anyone who has any information about the theft of the dogs.

RSPCA inspector Sarah Gardner said: “These poor little mites have been through a terrible ordeal and I am keen to find the person who just dumped them without any regard for their welfare in the cold and rain.

“They were not even left in a box, just on their own to face the elements.

She added: “I was informed that a member of public in the Chesterfield area has had two puppies stolen and so I am currently trying to trace that person in order to see if we do in fact have their puppies. “I am appealing to anyone who has any information as to who might have dumped these puppies and who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area.”

The dogs were found by a kind-hearted member of the public who took them in overnight.

They were collected by the RSPCA on Sunday and are now being kept at an undisclosed RSPCA centre.

One of the puppies is brindle in colour, and the other is tan.

Can you help reunite these puppies with their owner?
