Tyler Hopkinson, who works for local upcycling firm Elphius Flux, says she was on the Markham Road roundabout at around 10am this morning when the coach collided with her vehicle before heading off towards Derby Road.

She says the collision ‘knocked the back off’ the mirror and that the coach ‘nearly hit’ the front of her van.

She added that she thought it wouldn’t have been so bad if the driver had stopped but that he didn’t even acknowledge the accident had taken place.

Having looked for the wing mirror back on the busy roundabout for some time she finally seeing it ‘smashed to pieces’ in the middle of the roundabout.

Tyler says she has been trying to call the company since the incident but has been put off by the fact calls to the reporting line cost 13p per minute.

National Express have now tweeted her back to check she is unhurt and to say they will be looking into the incident.
