Chesterfield Borough Council services are now operating as usual after the problems following yesterday’s power surge.
IT technicians worked round the clock to ensure the problem was fixed and phone lines and e-mail accounts are back up and running.
The authority’s call centre is currently experiencing a high volume of calls and asks anyone trying to contact them to be patient. Operators will deal with all calls as quickly and as thoroughly as they can.
A spokesman apologised for any inconvenience caused.
